Mutt Mitt Program

Since 2019 PARC has partnered with the City of Santa Barbara and Heal the Ocean (HTO), a Santa Barbara non-profit ocean environmental group, for Dog Waste Program funding for the following City Parks and Open Spaces: Lower and Upper Orpet, Stevens, Hidden Valley, Parque de los Ninos, Hilda Ray, Oak, La Mesa, Los Robles, MacKenzie, Mesa Lane, Skofield, Sheffield, Willowglen, and San Roque Circle, and Coronel Place.

HTO solicits sponsorship funds to support the Dog Waste Program and donates funds to the PARC Foundation. PARC accepts these designated donations and coordinates with HTO and the City of Santa Barbara for the purchase and installation of Dog Waste dispensers and bags.

HTO inspects Dog Waste dispensers to ensure they remain in good condition and perform any required maintenance, including replacement of sponsorship advertisements as necessary. From 2019-2025 PARC has spent $29,930 on bags and dispensers.
